Shaped by the River, Rooted in Design
Every line of this striking mountain home is a response to nature—an architectural love letter to the curves of the Blue River and the rugged beauty of its surroundings. From concept to completion, the design honors the land it rests upon, with a form that bends with the river and clerestory windows that welcome sunlight throughout the day.
Spanning a natural ravine, an elevated breezeway connects the garage to the main house—an elegant structural solution that becomes a design feature in its own right. The exterior palette draws directly from the site: native stone, wood, and earth-toned finishes that make the home feel like it’s grown from the landscape.
Inside, the great room is oriented upstream, capturing golden sunlight and dynamic water views. The primary suite, by contrast, faces downstream—serene and private. The entry, situated at a bend in the river, balances these opposing views. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors erase the barrier between indoors and out, while expansive decks create seamless transitions to the natural world.
The interiors reflect a modern sensibility with warmth and texture. Collective Design worked hand-in-hand with the homeowners to select finishes that are both refined and grounded: custom cabinetry, carefully selected tile, wood flooring, designer lighting, and statement fireplaces that anchor each room.
This home’s thoughtful details speak volumes—from ceiling treatments and hardware to the cleverly designed dog wash nestled under the stairs. It’s a place that balances elegance with livability.
A true team effort, the project brings together the creative vision of Allen-Guerra Architecture, the craftsmanship of Sweet Homes of Colorado Inc., and the curated interiors by Collective Design—a harmony of talent, landscape, and lifestyle.
