Careers in Construction Colorado brings construction-based vocational education into high school curriculums.
The Summit County Builders Association, in partnership with Summit High School and CIC Colorado, introduced this program in the fall of 2022. Our first year had 60 female and male students.
Dedicated to bringing local construction trades into the classroom to provide hands-on learning, this program sets itself apart from others with its unique approach. With over 30 community volunteers from more than 10 trades presenting classroom instruction, students have the opportunity to learn about plumbing, electrical, framing and more.
The CIC program is made possible by Summit County's community of givers, in its first year we received an amazing outpouring of support for this program. SHS will have over 90 students participating in the CIC program this coming school year, to be successful this program will continue to need assistance. Please consider making a monetary donation, or a donation of time or materials.
We believe that these students are the future of the building industry and are committed to providing resources and support to help them succeed.
